Christmas Candle Making, so easy!
I made candles this year for presents. So easy! I used empty soy milk containers as molds, melted parafin and scent, then added chopped up crayons to add color!
I used chop sticks to hold up the wicks, and poured in several layers to created a kind of striped, color blend effect. I also added glitter (which both sunk to the bottom and floated to the top, so it didn't work out super well), and with one candle I filled the mold with ice, then poured in the wax to make a webby- holey kinda thing.
I waited a full day, then peeled the milk containers away and voila! I added some ribbons and buttons for a little "dazzle". Not bad I say.

Chunky Hat from "Hip o Knit"
This hat was very fun to knit- and very easy, as it did not require double pointed needles or any such craziness. I used Lion brand super chunky yarn in black, and it only took about 5 hours total. The pattern called for cables, but I skipped that part since I don't know how to cable yet.
I got the pattern from the book "Hip to Knit", which I got from the Brookdale Library. This is a great book for beginners looking to expand a little.
